NYSC and Flint Bell Launch Tech Bootcamp for Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osun State partnered with Flint Bell to conduct a technology bootcamp aimed at training Corps members in digital innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and entrepreneurship. The bootcamp, held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, is part of efforts to expose young graduates to emerging technologies.

Femi Lanlehin, the Chief Executive Officer of Flint Bell, delivered a keynote presentation titled "Future Tech: AI in Africa," encouraging Corps members to embrace continuous learning and acquire digital skills to prepare for opportunities in Africa's rapidly evolving technological ecosystem. The program emphasized the increasing adoption of AI across various sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, finance, and public administration.

Mr. Owolabi, the Camp Director, described the bootcamp as an innovation-driven program that broadens Corps members' exposure beyond traditional orientation curriculum.

The session concluded with interactive engagements where Corps members sought guidance on careers in software engineering, cybersecurity, AI, and digital entrepreneurship.
