Osun State Offers Free Train Service for Easter Holidaymakers

The Osun State government, under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, successfully facilitated a free train service for over 600 holidaymakers returning home to celebrate Easter. The initiative, which was noted by Special Adviser on Market Affairs Eniola Omotosho, aims to cushion the impact of high transportation costs that many residents face.

Passengers boarded the train at Osogbo and disembarked at various stops, including Lagos, Abeokuta, and Ibadan. Omotosho emphasized that the free service provides an opportunity for those who may not afford travel costs, especially during the Easter period.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the initiative, with Olabisi Soyinka praising the smooth journey. The free train service, which is a continuation of a program initiated by former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, reflects the current administration's commitment to supporting the people during festive seasons.
