TICC Rejects APC's Claims on Osun Governorship Election

The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) on Wednesday dismissed the assertion made by Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), regarding the party's prospects in the upcoming governorship election in Osun State scheduled for August 15.

Yilwatda claimed that the deployment of various political figures, including governors, National Assembly members, and local government chairmen, would ensure the APC's victory over incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke. In response, Bamidele Salam, who serves as the chairman of the media and publicity committee of the TICC and is also a member of the House of Representatives, criticized Yilwatda's comments, describing his "trailer versus Keke Napep" analogy as a display of political arrogance.

Salam emphasized that electoral success is determined by the electorate rather than the quantity of political heavyweights a party can mobilize.
