Osun State Divides 55.6km Road Project Among Contractors

The Osun State government has announced the division of the 55.6km Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan road project among three different contractors to facilitate timely completion. Engr.

Moruf Ojebod, the state director of highways, disclosed this during a site assessment of the ongoing 3.6km Odo Ori-Ojaoba Post Office road in Iwo. Governor Ademola Adeleke has prioritized infrastructure development, with plans for the first dual carriageway in Iwo and several internal road constructions within his two-year administration.

The awarded contracts include a 3.6km dual carriageway from Odo Ori Market to Oja Oba Post Office, with the second phase yet to commence. The contractors involved are Mzee Global Resources and Skorg Integrated Services Ltd, who are expected to mobilize within a month.

The local transport union has praised Governor Adeleke's achievements, expressing confidence in his commitment to completing ongoing projects. The project is viewed as a significant milestone for the town and the state.
