Ogun Student Reveals Horrific Kidnapping Experience

A rescued student from Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade, Ogun State, shared a chilling account of his abduction, which occurred on July 29, 2023. The assailants invaded their hostel, firing shots and accusing the students of being internet fraudsters.

They tied the victims' hands and led them into the bush, where they witnessed the murder of another man. The abductors threatened to kill them if their families did not pay a ransom.

The kidnappers initially demanded N30 million for each victim but later reduced the amounts after negotiations. During their captivity, the victims faced severe conditions, including beatings and hunger, and were moved through forests and rivers to avoid detection.

The abductors showed them dead bodies of previous victims, warning them of the consequences of non-payment. The Ogun State Police Command released a video documentary detailing the rescue operation.
