Akwa Ibom Governor Urges Corps Members to Embrace Unity

On Friday, during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members at the NYSC orientation camp, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, represented by Mr Emmanuel Akpabio, the Director of Youth Development, encouraged corps members to foster friendships across ethnic and regional boundaries. Eno stated that these bonds could shape Nigeria's future and are crucial for the country's unity, peace, and progress.

He emphasized the need for contributions that transcend ethnic, religious, and linguistic lines, urging corps members to embrace diversity as a strength. Eno assured the corps members of the Akwa Ibom State government's commitment to their welfare and security, mentioning ongoing efforts to improve camp facilities.

Additionally, Mrs Akuagbaogu Rosemary, the State Coordinator of the NYSC, congratulated the corps members and encouraged them to participate in the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to address unemployment challenges.
