Oyo State Partners for 481-Hectare Smart Agro-City

The Oyo State Government has formalized a public-private partnership with CTH Trading Stores Limited for the development of a 481.028-hectare Smart Agro-Cosmopolitan City in Saki, Oke-Ogun. This initiative aims to bolster agriculture, commerce, and sustainable urban development in the region.

The partnership was established through a Letter of Engagement from the Oyo State New Towns and Cities Development Authority (OYSNTCDA), designating CTH Trading Stores Limited as the preferred development partner. The project will be located on the old Veterinary premises off Oje-Owode Road and will integrate agriculture with technology-driven infrastructure to stimulate economic growth.

It will include a smart agro-logistics hub, off-grid solar-powered electricity, and eco-friendly residential estates. Mr.

Covenant Abimbola, Managing Director of CTH Trading Stores Limited, stated that the project is a strategic investment that will transform the economic landscape of the Oke-Ogun region. Groundbreaking is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026, with the first phase covering approximately 180 hectares.
