Makinde Inaugurates 177 Shops and Motor Park in Ibadan

On Friday, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde inaugurated 177 new facilities, including 69 lock-up shops, 108 open stalls, a motor park, a new road network, and a modern restaurant at the Agodi-Gate Market in Ibadan. The commissioning event took place at Araromi Market, where Makinde stated his administration's commitment to redefining governance in the state.

He directed that roadside traders be relocated to the newly constructed shops at no cost, highlighting the need to support local businesses. This inauguration followed another event where he opened a road network, a fire service building, and an ultramodern car park with shops at Bodija International Market.

Makinde praised the collaboration between state and local governments for these developments and urged traders and motorists to use the new facilities responsibly. Local government chairman Ibrahim Akintayo acknowledged the governor's commitment to people-oriented policies, while Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters Ademola Ojo expressed gratitude for the support given to local governments.
