The management of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja announced the immediate closure of the stadium on August 3, 2026, following credible security information received from the Police Headquarters. A statement issued by the stadium management indicated that all entrances would be closed and remain shut until further notice from the Police Headquarters.
