Pantami Eyes Gombe Governorship in 2027 Election

Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami is reportedly interested in contesting for the Gombe State governorship in 2027, a move that has generated significant public interest. Pantami, an accomplished academic, Islamic scholar, technocrat, and former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, is recognized for his contributions to Nigeria's digital transformation.

His potential candidacy is supported by three groups: those who admire his ministerial achievements, members of the opposition who see him as a credible challenger to the APC's candidate Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, and sections of the religious community who view his ambition as a chance to apply scholarly values to governance.
