PDP Demands INEC Clarification on Wike's Alleged Land Gift

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has formally requested the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to clarify allegations concerning a land gift purportedly given by Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The PDP claims that this land allocation is directly related to the electoral process and could undermine the commission's neutrality.

In a statement released on Tuesday, signed by the party's national publicity secretary, the PDP highlighted that the INEC chairman is allegedly a beneficiary of this land gift, which raises concerns about the ability to conduct free and fair elections. The party urged that the matter be treated with urgency and that the public be informed of the true situation regarding the allegations.

Additionally, popular activist Yesufu mentioned in a television interview that the INEC chairman allegedly threatened to take action regarding these claims, further complicating the situation.
