PDP and David Mark Mourn Alhaji Bamanga Tukur's Death

Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, the former Governor of the old Gongola State, passed away on Saturday at the age of 90 after a prolonged illness. His death was mourned by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator David Mark, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress.

Tukur's career included roles as Minister of Industries and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Ports Authority, culminating in his position as National Chairman of the PDP in 2012. The PDP, through its National Publicity Secretary Jungudo Mohammed, described Tukur as a distinguished public servant whose contributions significantly impacted Nigeria's political, economic, and democratic development.

The party extended condolences to Tukur's family and the people of Adamawa State. Senator Mark also acknowledged Tukur's extensive contributions to Nigeria, emphasizing his wisdom and experience, which will be missed during a crucial time for the nation.
