Peter Obi Launches New School Project in Kogi State

On Sunday, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), laid the foundation stone for the Mater Spei Secondary, Technical and Vocational School in Onugba Ukoh, Olomaboro Local Government Area of Kogi. In a Facebook post, Obi stated that the project aims to expand educational access and equip young people with technical and vocational skills for self-reliance.

Prior to the ceremony, he visited the Mater Spei Model Nursery and Primary School, which was established with international donor support. Obi emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for formal education and practical skills to youth in Onugba Ukoh and surrounding communities.

He praised the leadership of the nursery and primary school for their commitment to education and pledged support for the initiative. Obi highlighted the critical need for strategic investment in education, noting that millions of Nigerian children remain out of school, and stressed that education is foundational for a productive and prosperous nation.
