Paul Moses Praises Peter Obi's Restraint in Benue Visit

Paul Moses, the youth leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), commended Peter Obi for his display of restraint during an incident that prevented Obi from reaching Yelwata in Benue State, where he intended to meet victims of recent killings. During an interview on ARISE News, Moses stated that true leadership is characterized by restraint rather than the display of power or crowd size.

He argued that Obi's response should be seen as an example of restraint rather than a political disagreement. Moses, who was present during the visit, stressed that the focus should be on the victims of violence and the necessity for political leaders to access communities affected by insecurity.

He questioned how democracy could thrive if leaders' access to citizens depended on the goodwill of current authorities. Moses urged other presidential candidates to visit violence-affected communities and engage directly with victims, noting that Obi's previous visits involved interactions with victims and community leaders.
