Falana Demands Gbajabiamila's Resignation Over PFIPC Issues

Femi Falana, a senior advocate in Nigeria, has called for the resignation of Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, and demanded that the Federal Government provide transparency regarding the operations of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). During a program on EAGLE 102.5 FM in Ijebu, Ogun State, Falana raised critical questions about the legality of the PFIPC, which he claims was not established by any law and operates without a legal foundation.

He highlighted concerns over the council's alleged promotion of activities that lack proper authorization, including opening accounts with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and deploying civil servants. Falana emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the council's operations and the involvement of various government institutions in budget management.

He urged Gbajabiamila to temporarily step aside to allow for an independent investigation, asserting that the integrity of the country's institutions is at stake.
