Fire Breaks Out at Justrite Superstore in Lagos

A fire incident was reported at the electronics section of Justrite Superstore located at No. 116, Akowonjo Road, near Jimoh Bus Stop in the Egbeda-Akowonjo area of Lagos State. Margaret Adeseye, the Controller General of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS), confirmed the incident on Thursday.

An emergency call was received at approximately 8:15 a.m., and firefighters from the Abesan and Agege Fire Stations arrived on the scene by 8:28 a.m. They promptly initiated coordinated operations to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the commercial building.

Adeseye reported that the fire was completely extinguished, and recovery and mop-up operations were underway. Preliminary investigations indicated that the fire likely originated from the building’s solar inverter system.

No casualties were reported, and further investigations will continue to ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
