Zulum Commissions N15.9bn Flyover and Schools in Maiduguri

On Sunday, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum commissioned a N15.9 billion flyover in the Post Office area of Maiduguri, marking the fourth flyover in the state capital. The nine-span flyover was awarded to Chinese contractors, Eighteenth Engineering Company, and completed within 11 months.

Zulum stated that the flyover is expected to alleviate traffic congestion, enhance road safety, and facilitate the movement of people and goods along a crucial transportation corridor in Maiduguri. Additionally, the governor commissioned school projects, including Larawaram Community Senior Secondary School and Shehu Sanda Kyarimi 1 Primary and Junior Day Secondary School.

He also announced the commissioning of a dualised 2.5km road and 5km drainage in Kasuwan Shanu, constructed at a cost of N5,002,552,300.08. Zulum emphasized that these projects reflect the government's commitment to improving urban infrastructure and supporting economic activity.

Abullahi Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State, praised Zulum's administration for the projects, highlighting their benefits for the people.
