Jelan Urges Action on Bokkos Communities Occupied by Terrorists

Emmanuel Jelan, a social critic from Plateau State, addressed an open letter to Governor Caleb Mutfwang concerning the alleged forceful seizure and occupation of 16 rural communities in Bokkos Local Government Area by Fulani terrorists. Jelan's letter claims that despite government denials, records indicate that these communities are either completely or partially occupied by terrorists.

He urged the Mutfwang administration to establish a high-powered committee to investigate the displacement of ancestral lands by Fulani bandits. The letter lists specific communities affected, including Luwapan, Fokoldep, and Njemut, among others, detailing their displacement status.

Jelan emphasized that residents can no longer access their homes, farmland, schools, hospitals, or places of worship, leading to a significant disruption in their lives. He called for immediate action as reports suggest that strangers have begun occupying abandoned houses and farmland in these areas.
