Gunmen Kill 22 in Plateau State Health Facility Attack

In a tragic incident in Plateau State, gunmen attacked a health facility, resulting in the deaths of 22 individuals, including health workers, security personnel, and patients. Among the victims was Larai Danjuma, who was killed while in labor.

Her husband, Danjuma Damial, was present at the hospital during the attack. Deputy Governor Josephin Chundung Piyo described the attack as senseless and tragic, urging federal, state, and local governments to take urgent action to prevent further violence against innocent communities.

The state government expressed its commitment to protecting lives and property. In response to the attack, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu announced the deployment of additional police personnel and tactical teams to enhance security in the affected areas.

He assured residents that efforts would be intensified to apprehend those responsible for this inhumane act and bring them to justice.
