Gombe Police to Conduct Shooting Exercise August 12-13

The Gombe State Police Command has announced a two-day shooting range exercise scheduled for August 12 to 13, 2026, at the Gombe Military Shooting Range in Liji, Gombe State. The exercise will occur daily from 7 am to 4 pm.

This announcement was made by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, who emphasized that the exercise is part of routine activities for police personnel. Abdullahi urged residents and commuters in the vicinity not to panic at the sound of gunshots and advised them to avoid unnecessary movement around the designated area during the exercise.

He also warned against trespassing into the range area to prevent accidents. Parents and guardians were encouraged to keep their children away from the shooting range during this period.

The police expressed appreciation for the public's cooperation and understanding as they work to maintain safety and security in the state.
