Jigawa Police to Conduct Shooting Drill on August 2, 2026

The Jigawa State Police Command has announced a routine shooting range exercise scheduled for Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the CP AT Abdullahi Shooting Range located in Tsohon Gari, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area. SP Shi’isu Adam, the Police Public Relations Officer, communicated that all arrangements for the exercise have been finalized.

The training aims to enhance firearms handling and tactical skills among police personnel, contributing to their operational effectiveness and readiness. Residents in the vicinity have been advised to remain calm and not to panic upon hearing gunshots during the exercise.

The police assured that the firing would occur in a controlled environment and urged the public to avoid the area to ensure safety. This advisory is intended to prevent unnecessary fear and facilitate the smooth conduct of the training.
