APC Chieftain Arrested for Threatening Police in Nasarawa

Dadda U Mamuda, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, was arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command for allegedly threatening to kill police officers. The threats were reportedly made in the context of a political dispute involving support for Moham Abubakar Adamu, a former Inspector General of Police and gubernatorial aspirant for Nasarawa State.

According to police sources, Mamuda's remarks were directed at officers who were involved in the arrest of individuals linked to the political conflict. He allegedly claimed that no one could support Senator Ahm Aliyu Wadada, who represents Nasarawa West, in succeeding Governor Abdullahi Sule in the 2027 elections.

The police confirmed that Mamuda was arrested on Saturday and is set to be arraigned in court on Monday.
