Police Arrest Bandits' Informant in Katsina

The Katsina State Police Command arrested a 28-year-old man named Abdullahi Abdullahi, who is suspected of acting as an informant for bandits. The arrest occurred following credible intelligence at the Musawa Division Police Headquarters, as disclosed by the command's spokesperson, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, in a statement issued on Thursday.

During interrogation, Abdullahi confessed to collaborating with his brother in criminal activities, including issuing threats to victims and demanding a ransom of N10 million. He reportedly admitted to being involved in similar crimes in the past.

The police, led by Umar Ali Fage, have been urged to intensify efforts to track and arrest other suspects linked to this case. Fage reiterated the command's resolve to tackle banditry and warned that anyone aiding criminal activities would be decisively dealt with.

Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements to the nearest police station.
