Police Arrest Adeniyi Adeyemi for Court Non-Appearance

Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-styled Director General of the Foreign Investment Promotion Council (FIPPC), was arrested by the police in Abuja on Tuesday after a bench warrant was issued by the Federal High Court. Justice Moham Umar ordered the arrest due to Adeyemi's repeated failure to appear in court to face criminal charges against him.

The police, represented by counsel Wisdom Madaki, informed the court that Adeyemi had failed to appear despite several adjournments granted for his arraignment. The arrest was confirmed by a highly placed source, and it follows a trend of videos surfacing prior to the court's order.

The police were directed to ensure Adeyemi is produced in court to answer the charges against him.
