Three Suspected Robbers Arrested in Lagos with Firearms

The Lagos State Police Command arrested three suspected members of an armed robbery and carjacking syndicate in the Alakuko area of Lagos. The suspects, identified as Faruk Rasheed (20), Olamilekan Ademola (28), and Abidemi Oluwawemo (21), were apprehended following credible intelligence regarding their criminal activities.

The police stated that the suspects specialized in vehicle snatching and robbing residents of their valuables. During a search after their arrest, officers recovered three locally made firearms, including two pistols loaded with five cartridges and a revolver pistol with three rounds of 9mm live ammunition.

The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue, with efforts ongoing to apprehend additional members of the syndicate who remain at large. Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai reaffirmed the command's commitment to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring public safety, urging residents to report suspicious activities.
