Ogun Police Arrest Seven Suspects, Recover Stolen Items

The Ogun State Police Command arrested seven suspects for various criminal offenses, including armed robbery, cultism, and fraudulent activities. The arrests occurred during separate intelligence-led operations in the Ilaro area, Ibafo, and Adatan divisions.

The police recovered a stolen Toyota Venza, three locally made firearms, and 17 stolen mobile phones, along with an HP EliteBook laptop valued at N1.1 million. The suspects identified include Bola Salau (42), Segun Balogun (25), Emmanuel Fridai, Tund Abioy, Ankpa Jame (21), and Owodunni Seun (36).

The vehicle was confirmed stolen during a violent armed robbery on June 23, 2026. Additionally, two suspects were apprehended for allegedly robbing a female victim of her Samsung A16 mobile phone and cash.

The police also arrested Ankpa Jame for a travel scam involving N1.276 million. The operations underscore the commitment of the Ogun State Police Command to combat crime and protect lives and property.
