Police Arrest Suspected Eiye Member in Mushin

The Lagos State Police Command arrested a 24-year-old suspected member of the Eiye Confraternity, identified as Segun Alani, in Mushin. This arrest occurred following credible intelligence regarding cult-related activities around Ogunmokun Under-Bridge.

Operatives deployed a surveillance team to the area, leading to Alani's apprehension. A search of his bag revealed a locally made single-barrel pistol concealed inside.

Alani is currently in police custody and is reportedly providing useful information to investigators as the Command seeks to uncover additional members of the suspected cult network. The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, praised the operatives for their prompt and intelligence-driven response.

He reaffirmed the Command's commitment to disrupting cult-related activities and recovering illegal firearms throughout Lagos State, warning criminal elements to cease their activities or face legal consequences. The police also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
