Akwa Ibom Police Arrest Notorious Cultist Linked to Robbery in Uyo

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command apprehended a suspected notorious cult leader, Kufre Aniefiok Akpan, linked to armed robbery and other crimes in Uyo and neighboring areas. The arrest, made during an intensive operation on September 6, 2025, led to the recovery of a shotgun, live cartridges, and suspected charms.

Akpan, identified as an active member of the Sky Low secret cult, confessed to his involvement. Police Public Relations Officer DSP Timfon John assured that investigations are ongoing to determine if Akpan acted alone or had accomplices, emphasizing the commitment to apprehending all involved in criminal activities.
