Lagos Police Arrest Suspected Robber with Human Hand

The Lagos State Police apprehended a suspect named Samson Onilewaji, who was found in possession of a human right hand and firearms, including two locally made pistols with live cartridges and two axes. The arrest occurred during a police operation involving an unregistered commercial shuttle bus carrying six occupants.

Police Public Relations Officer Abimbola Adebisi stated that the search of the vehicle led to the recovery of the human hand and firearms. Preliminary investigations indicated that Onilewaji allegedly participated in a series of robberies, during which he dispossessed victims of their belongings.

He confessed to recently robbing three individuals, from whom ATM cards were recovered. Efforts are underway to identify and contact the victims to return the stolen property.

A separate investigation is being launched to determine the owner of the human hand found in Onilewaji's possession. The Lagos State Police Command, led by Commissioner Tijani Fatai, reaffirmed its commitment to combat violent crime and ensure the safety of residents.
