Ogun Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects

Operatives of the Anti-Robbery Team of the Ogun State Police Command arrested two suspected members of an armed robbery syndicate, Adeyinka Onakomaya, 46, and Olayiwola Kehinde, 48. The arrests occurred during a follow-up investigation into a stolen red Toyota Matrix linked to an armed robbery incident in April 2026.

According to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the arrests were the result of “relentless operational follow-ups and sustained tactical intelligence.” The suspects were traced to their hideouts in the Babaode area along Idiroko Road, Ota, Ogun State, and Lagos State. Preliminary investigations revealed their involvement in multiple armed robbery operations and violent vehicle snatchings across various areas in Ogun State.

Following their arrest, three locally made pistols and 18 live cartridges were recovered. The suspects allegedly confessed to participating in several armed robbery operations and are assisting with ongoing investigations.

The state Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, praised the Anti-Robbery Team for their operational efficiency and urged residents to report suspicious activities.
