Delta Police Arrest Two Suspects with Guns and Cocaine

On July 25, 2026, operatives of the Delta State Police Command arrested two suspects, Omini Ezeri (46) and Chinedum Wagbara (42), during a stop-and-search operation along the Agbarho–Warri Road. The operation, conducted by the Safer Highway Patrol, resulted in the recovery of two locally fabricated Beretta pistols, nine rounds of live ammunition, approximately 200 grams of suspected cocaine, a walkie-talkie, a dagger, a grinder, and two sophisticated phones from their grey Mercedes-Benz ML SUV with registration number AAA 604 JZ.

A third occupant, God Knows Ifreke, escaped during the operation. The Delta State Police Command has intensified efforts to combat illegal firearms and drug trafficking, with Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, commending the operatives for their professionalism.

The command remains committed to ensuring Delta State is hostile to criminals and those involved in unlawful possession of firearms and drug trafficking.
