Thugs Attack Oyo Ex-Deputy Governor Gbolarumi's Residence

The Oyo State Police Command has initiated an investigation into an attack on the residence of former Deputy Governor Hazeem Gbolarumi. This incident occurred shortly after a violent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state congress in Ibadan on Saturday, where vehicles and property worth millions of naira were destroyed.

Gbolarumi, who is associated with a faction of the PDP, alleged that the attack was orchestrated by political thugs linked to the state governor, Seyi Makinde. He claimed that he and other party members were assaulted with guns and cutlasses when they attempted to leave the congress.

The attack left several PDP members injured. Michael Ogunsina, the Public Relations Officer for Oyo PDP, denied any involvement from party leadership and described the incident as unrelated to party activities.

Olayinka Ayanlad, spokesperson for the Oyo State Police Command, confirmed that the police are investigating the attack and will take necessary steps as required.
