FCT Police Denies Manipulated Video of Peter Obi

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command issued a statement addressing a distorted video of Peter Obi circulating on social media. The command, represented by spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh, dismissed the video as misleading, asserting it was edited to create a false narrative suggesting that the Nigeria Police Force was involved in political endorsement.

The original video was recorded in 2024 when police officers were deployed to the Labour Party headquarters in Utako, Abuja, to restore order during a leadership dispute within the party. The police clarified that the interaction captured in the video was purely a response to a distress call regarding unrest and did not carry any political undertones.

CP Ahmadu Muhammed Sanusi ordered a thorough investigation into the video's origin and urged the public to refrain from disseminating misleading content that could undermine public confidence in the police.
