Four Suspects Arrested in Adelabu Sister's Kidnapping

The Oyo State Police Command confirmed the arrest of four suspects connected to the abduction of Busola Adelabu, the sister of Bayo Adelabu, a gubernatorial aspirant for the 2027 elections under the Progressive Congress. The operation took place in the Ayegun area of Oluyole Local Government Area, Ibadan, where police engaged in a shootout with the suspects.

Two suspects were killed during the operation, which lasted several hours on a Saturday night. The police recovered firearms, including a pump-action gun.

The abduction occurred early Wednesday when Busola Adelabu and her 12-year-old twin sons were taken by gunmen who flagged down their vehicle. The police acted on a tip-off that led to the rescue of the victim and the subsequent arrests.

Reports indicate that one of the suspects escaped with a bullet wound.
