Ogun Police Deploy School Protection Squad for Safety

The Ogun State Police Command has initiated the deployment of officers from its School Protection Squad across Ogun State as schools resume academic activities. This deployment is intended to enhance police visibility around educational institutions and ensure the safety of pupils, teachers, and school personnel.

The initiative aligns with the strategic policing agenda of Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, focusing on proactive and community-oriented policing. The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, recently met with an executive delegation from the Police Community Relations Committee Safe School Club, led by state chairman Abdullahi Babatunde Lawal, to discuss collaboration for early identification and prevention of security threats in schools.

Ojajuni emphasized the importance of vigilance and urged the community to report suspicious activities. The command also provided an emergency contact number for school-related incidents, assuring residents of their commitment to safeguarding educational environments.
