Police Launch Search After Kidnapping in Katsina State

On Saturday, at approximately 11 AM, two individuals, Amina Abdullahi and Abdullahi Sa'id, were abducted by armed assailants while traveling in a red Peugeot 406 saloon car along Karaduwa Matazu Road in Matazu Local Government Area, Katsina State. During the attack, the driver, Abdullahi Sa'id, sustained a gunshot wound to his right arm.

The Katsina State Police Command, represented by DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, confirmed the incident in a statement released on Sunday. Following the report, police units, including the Division Police Officer of Matazu and the Village Community Response Unit (VCRU), were swiftly mobilized to the scene to evacuate the injured driver for medical treatment.

The Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, Ali Umar Fage, visited the scene to oversee the deployment of additional personnel for ongoing search and rescue operations aimed at ensuring the safe recovery of the abducted victims and the arrest of the perpetrators. The police assured residents of their commitment to tackling criminal activities in the state and encouraged public cooperation in providing credible information.
