Enugu Police Recover Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Three Suspects

The Enugu State Police Command successfully recovered a vehicle stolen during an armed robbery in 2018 and arrested three male suspects: Chukwudi Ubani, Uchenna Obaji, and Nnamen Chukwudi. The operation was carried out on June 25, following credible intelligence regarding a commercial minibus that had been snatched from its driver in Okigwe, Imo State.

The vehicle was traced to Aninri Local Government Area, where the suspects abandoned it upon sighting the police. Additionally, on June 21, a buyer reported purchasing a gold-colored Lexus RX 300 SUV, which was later flagged as stolen by the Federal Road Safety Corps.

The police confirmed its recovery and linked it to the armed robbery incident in Owerri, Imo State, in 2018. Enugu State Police Commissioner Mamman Giwa commended the operation's success and urged the public to support police efforts by verifying vehicle ownership documents before purchase.
