Police Restore Calm After NURTW Clash in Osogbo

On July 20, 2026, the Osun State Police Command reported a clash between rival factions of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Osogbo, which followed a protest by one faction alleging that the other was preventing access to a motor park. The situation escalated into violence, disrupting public peace and commercial activities in the state capital.
