Oyo Police Seek Help Identifying Woman's Body Found

The Oyo State Police Command has issued an appeal for assistance in identifying a woman's body discovered in a drainage channel in the Egbeda Local Government Area. The body was found by a good Samaritan on Saturday, who reported the incident to the Egbeda Division Police Headquarters.

CSP Olayinka Ayanlad explained that the police team arrived at the scene, where preliminary examinations revealed visible marks of violence around the head, indicating possible foul play. The body was photographed and subsequently evacuated to the Adeoyo State Hospital mortuary for preservation pending autopsy.

The police spokesperson stated that investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. They are particularly appealing to members of the public, especially individuals with female relatives currently reported missing, to assist in identifying the deceased.

The police assured residents that they will leave no stone unturned in unraveling the circumstances surrounding the incident and bringing any culpable individuals to justice.
