Wike Assures Abuja Residents: Politics Won't Disrupt FCT Infrastructure Projects

Governor Wike of Rivers State reassured residents of Abuja that political activities, including the upcoming area council elections on February 21, will not disrupt ongoing infrastructure projects in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). During an inspection of several infrastructure projects, Wike emphasized the government's focus on the welfare of the people and the continuity of service delivery regardless of political timelines.

The projects inspected included road links to Nile University and the EFCC headquarters, with significant progress reported. Wike highlighted the importance of sustained project delivery as a demonstration of the government's commitment.

He also disclosed plans to expand project scopes based on consultations with residents and assured that major works would be completed by late May or early June. Routine inspections will continue to ensure quality and timely delivery of the projects.
