Ondo APC Disowns Razaq Obe's Comments on Primaries

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) officially distanced itself from comments made by former Commissioner for Energy, Razaq Obe, concerning the party's National Assembly primaries. State Chairman Hon.

Babatunde Kolawole clarified that Obe's remarks were personal and did not represent the party's official stance. Kolawole announced the establishment of a Reconciliation Committee, chaired by Prince Biyi Poroye of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), to engage with aggrieved aspirants and party stakeholders following the primaries.

He emphasized that while every aspirant has the right to express their opinions, such views should not be conflated with the party's position. Kolawole dismissed concerns that the disagreements could fracture the party, describing them as typical political occurrences.

He reiterated the importance of the party's internal mechanisms for resolving disputes and noted that the decision to form the committee followed extensive consultations with party leadership after the primaries.
