Ayodele Predicts APC Risks Defeat in 2027 Elections

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangel Spiritual Church, has warned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) may face defeat in Kano and eight other states during the 2027 governorship elections. He stated that the APC must not assume its current dominance in these states will guarantee victory.

Ayodele emphasized the need for the party to strengthen its political structures ahead of the elections, as the political landscape is expected to change significantly, with technology playing a major role in shaping outcomes. He identified the states at risk as Sokoto, Benue, Plateau, Kano, Kaduna, Yobe, Adamawa, Niger, and Nasarawa.

Ayodele cautioned that the APC must work extraordinarily hard to retain power, as the political atmosphere has shifted, and even traditional strongholds may no longer guarantee victory. He noted that Kano remains a critical battleground, having been a significant political prize where the APC lost the governorship election in 2023 despite having a member as governor.
