PSC Sets Dates for 2026 Police Recruitment Test

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially announced the schedule for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBT) as part of the 2026 police recruitment exercise. The test is set to occur from April 28 to 30, 2026, across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.

This stage is critical in the selection process for candidates aspiring to join the Nigeria Police Force. Ahmad Rufa, the spokesperson for the Sokoto State Police Command, described the aptitude test as a crucial phase in the recruitment process.

The duration of the test will depend on the number of applicants and the functionality of the CBT centers in each state. The exercise is expected to conclude within a single day, although some states may require a full three-day window.

Rufa advised candidates to remain calm and await official communication regarding the test venue and shortlist. He also cautioned applicants against relying on unverifiable sources for updates on the recruitment process.
