Radda Engages Katsina Citizens for 2027 Budget Planning

Dikko Umaru Radda, the Governor of Katsina State, conducted town hall meetings across 361 wards on a Saturday to solicit input from citizens for the 2027 budget planning. This initiative aims to deepen citizen participation in the budget process, strengthen transparency, promote accountability, and build trust between the government and the citizens.

Radda emphasized the importance of ensuring that public resources are directed toward projects that genuinely reflect the community's priorities. He noted that the exercise would provide invaluable information to guide the preparation of the 2027 fiscal year budget.

The governor highlighted significant progress made in various sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, education, water supply, security, youth empowerment, and social protection, based on citizen demands from the previous year's town hall meetings. Radda reassured citizens of his administration's commitment to continuous engagement, regardless of political affiliation, gender, religion, or social status, and urged patience as the government implements identified priorities.
