Katsina Governor Radda Advocates Data-Driven Development

On World Population Day, Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda reaffirmed his administration's commitment to data-driven development. He stated that accurate population statistics will guide plans to improve healthcare, education, and employment services across the state.

Radda described population growth as both a challenge and an opportunity that requires deliberate planning and strategic investment. He emphasized the need for a robust data collection system and the expansion of family planning services.

The governor directed ministries and agencies to align with the 2026 work plan using current population data to ensure effective service delivery. He also called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, civil society organizations, and the media to support government efforts in sensitizing communities about the importance of family size and birth registration.

Radda congratulated Katsina's representative to the National Population Commission, Professor Sadiq Isa Radda, and expressed confidence that the new commission would ensure credible population data for national planning.
