Kano Hisbah Board Declares Free Registration for Mass Wedding

The Kano State Hisbah Board, represented by Deputy Commander-General Dr Mujahideen Aminuddeen, has issued a warning to the public regarding the forthcoming mass wedding program, stating that registration is entirely free. This announcement was made on Wednesday in Kano, following reports of individuals soliciting money from prospective participants under the pretense of facilitating their registration.

Dr Aminuddeen clarified that the state government, under the leadership of Governor Abba Yusuf, has fully sponsored the program, which includes covering expenses for wedding attire, furniture, transportation of the furniture, and start-up capital for beneficiaries. He emphasized that no official from the Hisbah Board or any government representative is authorized to collect fees for participation.

The public was urged to report any instances of payment demands to the Hisbah Board or relevant security agencies for investigation and action. Dr Aminuddeen reiterated that the entire program is free of charge.
