Auwal: 2027 Elections Will Overcome Religious Sentiments

Auwal, the Deputy Director General of the OK Movement, asserted that the upcoming 2027 elections will not be determined by religious or tribal sentiments. He highlighted the importance of aligning Peter Obi and Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, identifying them as key figures capable of addressing Nigeria's challenges.

The OK Movement has advocated for Obi to be the presidential candidate, respecting zoning arrangements, with Kwankwaso as the vice presidential candidate. They initially sought to collaborate while in the ADC but shifted to the NDC due to party crises.

Auwal noted that they are building structures across Nigeria to defend their votes, claiming a significant following that can challenge any candidate. He criticized the current president, Bola Tinubu, for relying on religious sentiment to gain power, asserting that Nigerians now seek effective governance rather than tribalism.

Auwal refrained from disclosing specific strategies, citing the need to protect their plans from opponents.
