Prof. Albert Alos, born in Barcelona, Spain, and a resident of Nigeria since 1967, was a pivotal figure in the country's educational and creative sectors. He served as the first Vice-Chancellor of Pan-Atlantic University and was the pioneer Dean of the Lagos Business School, contributing nearly six decades to Nigeria’s intellectual development.
Alos was known for his visionary approach to Nigeria's creative economy, advocating for the integration of media and business. He supported the Independent Television Producers Association of Nigeria (ITPAN) by hosting the ITPAN International Forum on Video and Cinema in Africa in 2004 at the Lagos Business School auditorium.
He also commissioned a legacy documentary on the school and participated as a jury member for the Afrinolly Short Film Competition. His contributions to the creative industry were recognized when he was granted Nigerian citizenship in 2022.
Prof. Alos passed away recently at the age of 86.
