Oluremi Tinubu Donates N100m to Kogi Nutrition Program

On Saturday, Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria's First Lady, announced a donation of N100 million to enhance the nutrition program in Kogi State during her visit to Lokoja. She clarified that the funds would support the humanitarian intervention office and are sourced from private individuals and organizations rather than government funds.

The nutrition initiative, which aims to raise N3 billion, has already received additional support from prominent businessman Toni Elumelu, who contributed N1 billion. Tinubu urged the wives of Kogi State's governor to complement her donation to ensure the program effectively reaches vulnerable women and children across the state.

She also called on traditional rulers to mobilize community support for the campaign, which is part of a nationwide advocacy for maternal and child nutrition. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahm Usman Ododo and other officials.
