Uwazuruike Accuses Kanu of Recruiting Youths from Prison

Ralph Uwazuruike, the founder of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has made serious allegations against Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Uwazuruike claims that Kanu, who is currently serving a life sentence at Sokoto Custodial Centre, is actively recruiting Igbo youths from prison to perpetuate violence in the Southeast region.

He expressed deep concern over the situation and called for immediate intervention from prominent southeastern leaders and the apex pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo. Uwazuruike warned Kanu to stop recruiting young men for violent activities, stating that individuals serving prison sentences should not be involved in inciting violence.

He criticized the federal government's approach to handling armed actors in the northern part of the country and urged for a shift towards peace and rehabilitation rather than further violence.
